A desperate mother(Carmela) seeks help from her father (Mr. Bristol) to raise his teenage grandson(Karl) who is being influenced by bad company.

Mr. Bristol, not very fluent with teenagers, draws from the only place he knows, his own life, sharing how life was for him in the late fifties and with a very strict father who was also a pastor.

This grandfather tries to make the Bible relevant to teach his grandson that God is interested in every aspect of his life, not only in him going to church or a religious gathering.

Karl participated in an armed robbery, he got into serious trouble. Will his grandfather be able to reach him? Will the police get to him first? How will this end for a desperate mother?
